About The Designer

Oneka Benn Schwartz was born in Georgetown, Guyana a beautiful country in South America nestled between Venezuela and Brazil. After attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, she realized that making things by hand and all natural products had given way to mass production and chemical fillers. She began creating beautiful draperies and bedding out of raw silk. A few years later making hand made soaps and lotions using all natural plants and extracts from her native Guyana became part of the line. Design Pretty was born out of a desire for high-quality reasonably priced home furnishings as well as rich, nourishing and natural body products.
